Now, moving right along: Our temporary digs for the project I’m on are in Raritan, New Jersey. If you aren’t familiar with that town, here’s why it’s significant; it’s the home town of the WW2 hero, Marine Gunnery Sergeant John Basilone, the only enlisted Marine in WW2 to receive both the Medal of Honor and the Navy Cross. He’s a major home town hero here, rightfully so, and yesterday was the annual John Basilone parade. There was no way Mrs. Animal and yr. obdt. were going to miss that. Photos follow. Enjoy!
