Animal’s Hump Day News

Happy Hump Day!

You know, if you’re working on the 2024 Trump presidential campaign, the polls have to be a source of good cheer right now.  I’d hope they aren’t getting too cocky, though; polls have been pretty bad at predicting the last few cycles. But RealClearPolitics has a page where they present the average of a whole bunch of polls, and if you use that to look not at snapshots but at trends… Well, things are still looking pretty good for Trump.

Now then…

On To the Links!

Where Is the Political Courage on the Right?  Good question.

RIP, Joe Lieberman. I rarely agreed with him, but he seemed a decent fellow, and honest; even when he was wrong, he was honestly wrong.

Remember that on election day, dude.

No.  He hasn’t.

RFK Jr. may be in it to win it, but he won’t.  That’s just how it is.

House of Representatives invites Biden to testify.  I’m guessing he won’t show, but I’d love to be wrong.

Three cheers for oil!

People want school choice.

The War on Easter.  I’m not even a Christian and this shit is pissing me off.

Five Senate seats most likely to flip in 2024.

RFK Jr. finds an acorn.

Trump going after Biden on the border.  That’s good; if there is any single issue that will sink the Biden(‘s handlers) administration, it’s the border.

Probably, and gosh, I wonder why?

This is cool – H. erectus may have hunted elephants.

Who the hell ain’t related to Charlamagne?

The Nation’s Chris Lehmann (Repeat Offender Alert) is an idiot.

Juan Williams continues his descent into idiocy.

The LA Times Doyle McManus is an idiot.

The Nation’s Joan Walsh (Repeat Offender Alert) is an idiot.

Salon’s Amanda Marcotte (Repeat Offender Alert) is an idiot.

This Week’s Cultural Edification:

I love Japan.

You all know that Mrs. Animal and I have stayed and traveled about in Japan a fair amount and that we love the place.  Now and then I go surfing around for Japanese music, and I’ve found some interesting pieces; my latest find that has a fun, peppy sound and lyrics I mostly don’t understand comes from Ado (and no, I don’t know if that’s a name, a group, or an album, because I don’t read Japanese) and is called Chocolate Cadabara. Here’s the video.  Enjoy.
