Animal’s Hump Day News

Happy Hump Day!

Later today, I’ll be taking my next steps deeper into the Wide, Wide World of Journalism. I’ll be interviewing an up-and-coming Republican political candidate, and I think you all will find it interesting.  Watch these virtual pages for details. After this, I intend to give this candidate’s opposing numbers equal time; we’ll see how that works out.

And so…

On To the Links!

Fauci ‘fesses up.

Is Trump likely to win?  It’s a bit early for these kinds of predictions.

Probably not.

This Week’s Idiots:

Salon’s Chauncey DeVega is an idiot.

Vox’s Constance Grady is an idiot.

Not only idiots but humorless idiots.

The Nation’s John Nichols (Repeat Offender Alert) is an idiot.

The Los Angeles Times editorial staff are all idiots.

MSNBC’s Hayes Brown (Repeat Offender Alert) is an idiot.

John Kerry, who by the way served in Vietnam, is a prick, and an idiot.

This Week’s Cultural Edification:

I’m going to give you a three-parter this week.  Anyone who has read these virtual pages for any time knows that Mrs. Animal and I are very fond of Japan.  We’ve spent a fair amount of time in the Land of the Rising Sun, and it’s the only place we could see ourselves living if somehow the United States completely came apart.

We like Japanese films, television, and music, too.  One artist we are fond of is the singer Minami, who manages to combine the usual rather soft style of many Japanese women singers with, occasionally, the break into some serious ‘belting it out.’  Not long ago she released three songs; in 2019 it was Crying for Rain, in 2020 Waiting for Rain, and in 2021, Drop. Here, then, are those songs.  Enjoy.
