It’s been a busy time lately. Keeping up with a rural property always entails a fair amount of choring, and on top of that I’m currently working two consulting projects, trying to complete two novels, keeping up this site and producing a weekly piece for Glibertarians.
But you know what? I like it this way. I like producing work, whether it be taking out the couple of birches on the back of the property that were broken by snow this year or producing some interesting fiction or a bit of commentary here that someone, somewhere might find interesting. I don’t understand how some folks can just sit idle for days on end. I have to be doing. Even when I semi-retire and hang up my consulting business, I’ll still be writing, and will greatly pick up my hunting and fishing. Might even start running a trapline again.
If I learned one thing from the Old Man, it was the value of being productive.

Stupid or Lying? Mind you the two are not mutually exclusive.
Baltimore-Area Women. That’s using the term “women” in the broadest possible sense.
John Cleese is a fucking amazing comic talent. The people he shared a stage with at whatever the SXSW comedy event in Austin, TX is, are assholes. Tell ’em, John. Nowadays instead of the Ministry of Silly Walks, we have the Ministry of Stupid Ideas.
The Middle Eastern oil-producing nations have given President Biden(‘s handlers) the cold shoulder. Gosh, if only there were some sources of oil we could access ourselves.
This Week’s Idiots:
This Week’s Cultural Edification:
In 1975, rockers Ann and Nancy Wilson, performing as Heart, released their first album, Dreamboat Annie. Today, the Wilson sisters are still touring, but I’ll always remember them for those first few years.
Dreamboat Annie had some good tunes on board, including Magic Man and Crazy on You, both of which got a lot of radio play on the local FM stations when I was in high school. But my favorite from that album is the eponymous Dreamboat Annie, a bit short at 2:42 but a good tune nonetheless. Here, then, is the original music video for that song. Enjoy.
