Now then: When you’ve lost The Hill… Excerpt:
The Democratic Party is perceived by voters as being both ineffective and out-of-touch, and as a result, stands to suffer substantive seat losses in the midterm elections, new polling by Schoen-Cooperman research indicates.
Indeed, the findings of our survey — which was conducted among likely 2022 midterm election voters — show that the electorate is increasingly pessimistic about the direction in which President Biden and Democrats are steering the country, and feel that the party’s priorities do not align with their own.
In order to have a fighting chance in the midterms — as well as a shot at holding onto the presidency in 2024 — Democrats need to embark on a broader course correction back to the center. The party needs to show voters that they are focused on solving problems and addressing quality-of-life issues and that they reject the progressive-left’s embrace of big government spending and identity politics.
Yeah, a ‘course correction,’ as the article puts it, would help – but let’s face it, there ain’t gonna be one. The Democrats are too intimidated by The Squad and other far-left “progressives” to make any such correction, even if it would save them from a bloodbath in November – and it’s becoming more apparent every day that this is in the works.
But what the article fails to mention is the increasingly obvious failure of the President’s cognitive functions. He’s getting worse almost by the day, it’s becoming more and more obvious, and the Democrats won’t even discuss his failings.
If I were to make a prediction right now (bear in mind it’s a long time until November) it would be this: The 2022 mid-terms will be an utter disaster for the Democrats, Joe Biden will resign citing “health reasons” or “wanting to spend more time with family” or some other such horseshit. The result will be solid GOP majorities in the House and Senate, and a cackling imbecile who rode to political prominence on Willie Brown’s penis in the Imperial Mansion.
Oh, and good luck to her getting a leftist VP nominee through a GOP-controlled Congress.
All of this is presuming, by the way, that Mumbles and Stumbles don’t blunder us into World War 3 before any of this happens, which is a possibility I find unlikely but one I can’t rule out entirely.
Bear in mind also that there’s nobody that can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory like the Republican Party.
It’s a hell of a fine pass we’ve come to, isn’t it?
