Early this morning the United States fell back to Standard Time from our summer Daylight Savings Time, which apparently can be blamed on a Kiwi bug collector.  Don’t forget to set those clocks back an hour.

From nowhere near the Springfield nuclear power plant: Radioactive Rabbit Trapped Near Nuclear Reservation. No word on whether the rabbit exhibited any strange behaviors, such as shooting green beams of radiation from its eyes.

Best news of the day:  We human seem to owe our entire civilization to beer.

Finally:  How Did The Election Impact The Second Amendment? The NRA was criticized in some cases for endorsing Democrat candidates over Republicans, but many partisans of both parties forget that the NRA is a single-issue organization; their only consideration is a candidate’s record and stated positions on Second Amendment issues.  From what I have seen – and I have been a member of that organization for over thirty years, and a Life Member for about fifteen – they have been solidly consistent in that respect.

The fact is that since about 1994, over most of the country, gun control has been a losing issue for politicians, and that’s as it should be.
