It’s not commonly known, but over 50 years ago Chrysler was developing turbine-powered cars. Big advantage of the gas turbine: It can run on pretty much any flammable liquid. An idea whose time has come, maybe?
A turbine-powered car might be just what the doctor ordered in our era of $3/gallon gasoline. Aside from the Chrysler prototypes, there has been at least one other famous turbine-powered car – and with atomic batteries, no less.
