October Project
Debut album of a superbly talented group, led by the rich, stunning voice of Mary Fahl. |
October Project Falling Farther In A good sequel; unfortunately, there has been no more from the original October Project. However... |
Mary Fahl Lenses of Contact Former October Project lead singer Mary Fahl turns in a warm, rich performance in her first solo album. |
Mary Fahl - The Other Side of Time The lovely Mary Fahl's second album. Includes the haunting Going Home, the opening theme of Gods and Generals. |

Venus Hum Big Beautiful Sky It's hard to describe Venus Hum. Alternative, jazz-pop, retro; nothing seems to fit. It's a unique group with a unique sound; check them out for yourself. |
Seatbelts Future Blues
Songs from the soundtrack of the cult anime classic Cowboy Bebop. Jazzy, bluesy, fun. |
Seatbelts Ask DNA Songs from the Cowboy Bebop movie soundtrack. The title track, Ask DNA, is the best song from either Seatbelts album. |
Cyndi Lauper At Last At Last, indeed. I never cared for the "original" Cyndi Lauper, back in the 80's when she disguised her gorgeous voice with a whiny, nasal affectation. No longer. Revisiting classics like Walk On By and On the Sunny Side of the Street, Cyndi finally hits her stride. High point of the album is her duet with Tony Bennett on Makin' Whoopee. Cyndi Lauper has emerged from a silly, nonsensical start to become a serious performer. With a mature voice that rivals Aretha Franklin, she has finally taken her place among the very best singers in today's music world. At last. |

Edie Brickell Shooting Rubberbands at the Stars Edie Brickell's light, almost airy voice leads the New Bohemians in this sort-of-jazz, sort-of-pop work.

Great Big Sea Road Rage Live album from a truly great Canadian band. Combines an Irish-Celtic sound with a quick-stepping, modern rhythm and wonderful vocals. |
Moxy Fruvous Bargainville Another Canadian group with a unique style. This album contains their signature song King of Spain, the hilarious Green Eggs and Ham, and much more. |
