Goodbye, Blue Monday

Goodbye, Blue Monday!
Goodbye, Blue Monday!

Thanks once again to The Other McCain for the Rule Five links!

Well, this is an interesting twist:  Is Hillary Melting Down?  It wouldn’t be the biggest surprise.  Excerpt:

What difference, at this point, does it make?

“Hillary’s been having screaming, child-like tantrums that have left staff members in tears and unable to work,” says a campaign aide. “She thought the nomination was hers for the asking, but her mounting problems have been getting to her and she’s become shrill and, at times, even violent.”

Meanwhile:

Just days before she will take the stage in the first Democratic debate, Hillary Clinton’s lead over rival Bernie Sanders has narrowed, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll.
Clinton’s support among Democratic voters fell 10 points within less than a week.
From October 4 to October 9, Clinton saw her support tumble from 51 percent of Democratic support to just 41 percent.

Meanwhile:

Democrats have moved to the left at least as quickly as the Republicans have moved to the right. . . .
As the Democratic Party lost power at the state level over the past 15 years, it also effectively shed its moderate wing. Centrist Democrats have increasingly lost seats to Republicans, “resulting in a more liberal Democratic party” overall. The authors find that the ideological median of Republican legislators has shifted much less.

Her Royal Highness has “become” shrill?  When was she ever not shrill?

I’ve been saying all along that Her Majesty was almost certainly the worst candidate the Democrats could come up with.  (Although Bernie Sanders is running a damned close second, in this as well as in the polls.)  And Sanders is making her tack to the left to try to salvage her bid, proving once more that she has no more principles than she ever has – she will do whatever is necessary to win the nomination.

Excellent BearTo be fair, in the Imperial City, she has plenty of company.

The calls for daffy old Uncle Joe Biden to get into the race are increasing day by day, and looking at it from the perspective of the Dems, who could blame them?  There is an ever-increasing air of desperation to their calls, and it’s not going to get any easier as her Imperial Majesty continues to fumble, obfuscate and dissemble her way through the primary season.
